I love my Pantech Pocket. Everything I want in a Smart Phone at a low price
1 of 1 found this helpful I was switching from a T-Mobile Prepaid plan and my wife from an AT+T contract plan. We were moving to a Consumer Cellular (CC) shared plan with low usage levels that will save us a lot of money over the long haul. Her AT+T Smart phone was already compatible with CC but I wanted an Android smart phone of my own.
I shopped around and this Pantech Pocket has everything I wanted. Big capacitive multi touch screen, Android 2.3 operating sys, Good reviews and a very attractive price for a new phone without a contract. You can get an unlocked one for a few bucks more.
One surprise that I encountered was the fact that mine uses a micro sim like an I-Phone. I was able to grind down the full size sim from CC and it works fine.
CC is willing to let you use any phone you want but they do not claim to be able to support them. Most AT+T phones will work because CC is an MVNO of AT+T. It took me a while but I finally got it to support full data on the CC system.
The screen is a more square shape and it's superb for watching movies and I bet it will be good as an e-reader too but I haven't tried that yet.
I don't have any problems making calls on it.
Some might wish it had a second camera to do Face Time but I don't miss it. The camera is just right. Takes good pictures but not so big that they won't e-mail.
I used the navigation app this weekend and it worked pretty well. Occasionally it would say: "Satellites lost" but never start up again and I would exit the navigation program and restart it. It would remember my destination and start right up again. Pretty good for a free app. (Not the paid AT+T plan...)
It uses quite a bit of battery life while navigating for 3-4 hours. The screen is always on and then when we arrived I slipped it into my pocket. I suspect I should have turned off the navigation at that point as it seemed to be nearly dead when we got ready to leave 3-4 hours later.
It has never froze up or failed me in any way. Let’s hope that continues.
Bottom line... I love my Pantech Pocket. It's everything I want in a Smart Phone at a very reasonable price!

She loves them!
I bought these books for my 7 yr old granddaughter for Christmas. She's advanced for her age and so far she loves these Meg Mackintosh books.

Doesn't fit my Hamilton Beach FlexBrew
Doesn't fit my Hamilton Beach FlexBrew.
I bought these small coffee filters hoping they would reduce the "fines" in the bottom of my cup. They didn't work in my machine.
