THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING
1 of 2 found this helpful Purchased this for my Mom who lost my Dad, her husband 3 years ago. She is stil having a rough time dealing with his loss. After all the reviews I had seen and heard about this book, I thought it would be a good book for her. Apparently NOT. She said she was sick of the author rambeling on and on. The book only depressed her more. It did not help her at all to deal with the loss of her husband, my Dad. I Would not recommend this book to anyone!

Smotherhood
I bought this for my girlfriend for Christmas. She raises her son, along with her husband, she works in Manhattan, NY, cooks, cleans, does the laundry, etc. Saw the reviews for this book and thought of her. She LOVED the book. She read it on the train into work and said she found herself laughing out loud. She is going to pass it onto me so I can enjoy it also. She said just because I am a stay at home Mom, the book fits me just as well. Can't wait to get it from her. I would recommend this book to any female.
