Light output degraded after about 2 1/2 months

I purchased one of these near the beginning of July. I had been using it every day for about 2 1/2 months, for about one hour a day. The light output began to degrade sharply near the end. I finally E-wasted it. The CREE web site contains information about potential problems in quality control with the bonding of the die that could cause such sharp light degradation. I would say that this flashlight was worth the $3 I paid for it with free shipping. Its fine for the emergency light in the glove box or for walking the dog. I would think its OK in blinky mode on the bicycle as well.

I've tried this spray with two pairs of swim goggles (different brands). The anti-fog property is initially good but doesn't last for 10 laps in the pool.
