Timeless children's literature!
The stories about Jenny Linsky were favorites of mine when I was young. I hadn't read them for nearly 50 years, until I bought this book (out of nostalgia). The stories stand up to the test of time, and are still as fun and sweet as I remember them back in the day. I think these stories explain why I grew up to be a cat person. Enjoy them, and share them with a child you love!

Great show for the baseball fan!
3 of 3 found this helpful "Home Run Derby" was an incredible show, one that could never be replicated. All 3 volumes are a "must have" for those who appreciate classic baseball. It is quite interesting to watch so many Hall-of-Famers in a semi-informal environment, belting homers out of the park. I won't recap the whole concept behind the series, as that can be Googled, but I will say that this is a fun series to watch!

Classic early Dead!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great compilation of early Grateful Dead music, much of which has not been heard by the majority of Deadheads. As you listen, it becomes apparent that many of the songs were written when the newly formed band was still trying to decide exactly what type of band they were going to be. There are some extremely psychedelic tracks like "Mindbender", as well as quite a few hard-core blues/rock songs (no doubt the influence of Ron "Pigpen" McKernan). It is interesting to hear how they once performed standards like "I Know You Rider" way back then. I was surprised to learn that "Don't Ease Me In" was one of their earlier tunes, since they didn't record it for many years. Being a long-time Deadhead, I thought I had "heard it all". But this CD set is a must have for anyone who appreciates the genius of the Grateful Dead! Oh - the quality of the recordings is excellent, so don't worry about that.
