This is one awesome processor. Best upgrade for a Precision 650 workstation
I put two of these in a Dell Precision 650 workstation that I acquired and these greatly replaced the pair of SL72Y(s) that were in there. These really help breath some life back into that workstation. I really can't get over the fact that these have 2mb L3 cache equipped on these!! These will do most anything you want to do although they are a bit dated to today's standards. But hey, they're a great bang for the buck. As far as I can tell these are also cooler than the last set of processors I had in that workstation. P.S. If you have a Precision 650 look no further, these are the best Xeons for it.
The only down side is that these DO NOT support 64bit!!!
