works ok, but not suitable for my purpose
1 of 1 found this helpful was intended for use in an outdoor wall mounted light, protected from rain by a glass enclosure. Should have known that the glass blocks most of the IR, so even on the most sensitive setting the lamp would only switch on from a very close distance. And then, because the lamp's own heat is trapped in the glass enclosure, the sensor auto-triggers. A nice 10s blinking light. This problem only occurred with a halogen light bulb.
Indoors, in a paper style luminaire the sensor works ok.

much cheaper than garmin or tacx product, but works 100%.
driver auto-installed in win10.
Using it with a elite direto smart trainer
no issues whatsoever with zwift

good solder, doesn't stick to the soldering tip. recommended!
