Fun way to try out fountain pens
Fun pens! Smooth writing and bright colors. If you lay the ink down thickly you need to let it dry for a moment to avoid smears.

Good Dagger Brush but not Silver's best work.
I have several Silver "Black Velvet" brushes and while this one is okay it isn't up to the quality of my other brushes. The bristles are not a smooth blend of squirrel and synthetic and the bristles don't stay in a single mass when I am painting with them, a few 'hairs' will stick out and put paint where I don't want it.
It is still better than other brands I have tried so I am not unhappy but just a little surprised that it isn't as nice as my other Black Velvet brushes.

Don't spend $30! You can find this book for under $10 if you look around.
This book was recommended on Handprint and it is everything they said! Good overview of supplies and then lots of 'how to' and 'why to'.
