Remarkable value for money
1 of 1 found this helpful Like brand new. A good 4-star laptop with the minor inconvenience of a US keyboard (a surmountable problem), but a 5-star buy set against the low price.

Good art house movie; poor sci-fi movie
Warning! This is one of those movies that wasn't a great box office success at the time but which over the years has attracted a cult following -- presumably of people who congratulate themselves for figuring out what it was all about, and who find it deeply meaningful. I am not among them. As a sci-fi movie I vote it a miss. However, as an art house movie it is quite interesting for a while. The grimy dystopian futuristic setting (Los Angeles 2019) conjured up by darkness, ceaseless rain, fire, smoke, haze, neon, searchlights is a triumph for the design team. The futuristic artefacts are fine. Too bad the story is lacking in shape and coherence, which may explain why it gets changed on each new release.
