Doing it right!

This is so much better than drilling out the detents, leaving holes for dirt to get in and risk weakening the magazine tube. Just use a lubricant as suggested in the instructions, and a nylon face hammer to drive it in. Do NOT panic if it sticks, get a rag and a vise-grip and slowly twist it out. With it turned about 90 deg. to the original position (using a fresh swaging surface), lube it up again, and drive it in again. My finished product was so smooth I didn't need to do anything else, the shells and follower zipped right by the former detents.
