Best Ancient Roman Mystery series I've ever read.
I love this series about Rome in the time of Caesar, and murders investigated by a member of the upper class. Has much humor and wry observations about the Roman state and its politicians.

Great edition of this classic
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a facsimile edition of the first printing of the English edition of this classic. An original would cost several thousand, so you can still get the feel of reading it as if you got it in the 30's. Makes a beautiful copy of your shelf as well.

Wonderful book full of terrific illustrations by the author and others.
Beautiful illustrations and solid educational value.for artists. The author is a great artist and his insights and suggestions are great!
