Great looking, compact, great sounding device-best alternative to ipods
My family started buying zunes because they were easier to navigate. After killing my Zune 2 80gb, I figured and upgrade was in order. Pros: 1. Nice design 2. Size and weight (which is far less than ipod touch) 3. 30+ hour battery life which IS tested by me to be true. 4. Wolfson DAC Sounds is as good as any MP3 player I had in the past. 5. Built with anti scratch materials. (Ipods are engineered to look terrible after a few years so you will want to upgrade) Other Pros: HD Radio, wireless browser, Zunepass and Cons: 1. Learning Curve - Out of the box the navigation is challenging. Once you learn where to press (arrows, album names, artist names, large cutoff wording at the top) this device is as easy to use as any. 2. Volume and tracks - The older zunes were instanteous in setting volume and tracks with the circle pad. I do miss hard buttons for these controls. A very thin button at left of device needs to be depressed to get these controls. 3. Apps - I dont care - I have an adroid phone for apps. I want this to play music without killing my phone battery. The pros above far outweigh the cons as I really enjoy this unit for music and movies.
