Just enough for the one coffee drinker in the house
My husband only recently started drinking coffee instead of tea some of the time. This little thing was my idea after watching him fuss with a funnel-like gizmo that required constant attention and gradual addition of water.
The cup that comes with this is small by our household standards but fortunately our mugs-of-choice will just fit on the platform and by adding a little extra water to the reservoir after the process has gone on a bit he can get a good-sized cup from the device. Fine for the casual, sometimes coffee drinker.

Great buy. Seems to be good quality.
Looks to be of pretty good quality mechanically. Inside and outside finishes are good. There is a slight inward curve to the sides, from bottom to top so the top opening is smaller in diameter than the bottom of the pot. For our purposes a little wider opening would have been nicer (i.e., straight sides) but we could not find anything like this anywhere. We're happy with it.
