Feels like I've actually seen President Lincoln

An outstanding look at Lincoln's personal life, in particular his marriage. The movie often feels closed, showing personal scenes instead of memorable speeches -- the mini-series shows us the private side of Lincoln. The mini-series is based on Carl Sandburg's massive biography. The acting is fantastic, in particular Hal Holbrook is a convincing Lincoln. (His overly raspy voice is a bit hard to get over)
