The Prismacolor brand has been a bench mark for decades. Quality product..
I'll always check ebay for art supplies prior to shopping locally. I've been able to save hundreds.

It works fine
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my second unit, first one still works, wanted a back up.
Works fine for general jewelry work. Hoses are cheap, valves sticky, but! The whole set costs as much as an original smith tip alone. I consider them as disposable units and but them as such. When my business increases ill buy an original for over a hundred dollars, for now this gets me by just fine. I use it for ring sizing, bangles, custom jewelry, eat rings, chains and necklaces.

Probably better waiting 60 days more when your budget is higher.
Quite simply it's just a poorly made product. I could digress, not necessary; cogs slip/skip prior to full capacity, rollers have and maintain poor parallel alignment, a lot of sloppy play and in general "poor machining". I thought I could get by with it and unless it's absolutely mandatory and you can't wait I'd suggest to wait and get a superior unit. Jeweler rolling mills aren't rocket science, you just need a good solid adjustable machine that holds to size under repeated use. The couple hundred I saved doesn't substantiate the couple of hundred I spent. As a bench jeweler and machinist with low capital for tooling... I'd say "wait until your budget increases".
