Cheap and cheerful

Very thin metal, if it is metal. Lower section narrower than the upper one so the finished item is trapezoidal, not rectangular. Chrome scratches ridiculously easily, not convinced it is real chrome as chromium is a hard metal and resistant to scratching. Supplied screws half the length they needed to be. Disappoiinted. If it hadn't been such a reasonable price I would have considered sending it back. It is installed now and doesn't look too bad. It will look better once it is covered with towels. Not recommended.

100 X Solimo Nespresso Compatible Ristretto Capsules Coffee Maker Value Economy

Much nicer than its price would suggest.

It is always a bit of a gamble, buying coffee of which you have no experience. However, I was already familiar with the ristretto style being strong yet smooth and rich in flavour. I chanced upon the Solimo brand whilst perusing alternatives for my new Nespresso machine. The black and brown box looked understated, even austere and yet managed to convey the message of strength and simplicity. The prepared coffee is excellent in both espresso and lungo sizes, my preference being for lungo. As it comes, black with no sugar, the shot of caffeine is small and quick but the flavour is exquisite. Just remember to brush your teeth or gargle afterwards if you don't want coffee breath! My only criticism would be that because the pods are plastic, they are non recyclable but I suppose you can't have everything at that price. Recommended.

A piece of cake to use

I love making cakes and , until I took delivery of these cake boxes (I bought two), I used plastic boxes upside down, with the cake on top of the lid and the box over the top. The box is made of very thin plastic. The first time I washed one up, I managed to crack the plastic base without treating it at all roughly. Only a small crack but a crack nonetheless. The clips are poorly designed. They act like plastic paper clips in that they are very simple in design and simply slide over the flattened base and the lid in four places. They appear to work OK, the handle works as it should and the box can be carried around whilst laden with a cake. However, if not careful with the clips they will fall off the box and onto the floor. Not only that but I always find myself treating it very gently as though it is about to break. It feels brittle and vulnerable. On the plus side, it was relatively inexpensive. Not recommended
