Great for when you don't have time to get to the range
The Smash Bag was recommended to me by a golf pro during a lesson in Scottsdale. It doesn't substitute for everything else you are doing to work on your golf game - instead it is one more additional tool - namely (for me) to put more (and then one more and then...) swing on target. My issue as a new golfer is learning to be more comfortable putting power on the ball. The Smash Bag helps. At first I was worried about what it might do to my driver - and brought out an older #1 that I no longer use. Don't worry, your equipment will be fine (mine was). And besides, it feels good to take some full swings, for free. Some folks use it as a way to get warmed up before they go to the range. And at 12" tall by 18" wide, it is large enough that grandchildren like using it as a comfortable seat for watching the Golf Channel.
