Vintage Sewing
From an historical point of view, this 1960 original pattern is enlightening and informative. It shows how patterns have changed over the years. There is so much more detail in the instructions. You really get a feel for what sewing would have been like nearly 60 years ago.

Useful and full of tips
This book wont turn you into a brain surgeon. But, it will give you hints and tips on how to stop someone bleeding to death. A useful tool in an emergency that should buy you enough time to get a casualty to help.

Fast Fit for Female Figures
It's a book about fitting so if that's what you are looking for, this fits the bill. I bought this because I have other books by Sandra Betzina. She covers lots of different fit issues, giving each one it's own section and focus. It's clearly laid out and easy to read. It's only getting 4 stars because of the focus on female fitting problems. It doesn't cover fitting problems for men. So isn't really a book for "pattern alterations for every figure". Just the female one. Not a problem if you only sew for women. Bit of a pain for those of us who sew for men to.
