Great quality, cuts well, but requires a two-length pull in order to make a cut.

I'd easily give this pruning head a glowing review if the compound pully mechanism didn't require you to pull the cord, then find a way to hold the rope and balance the pole while you grab ANOTHER length of rope, then pull it AGAIN , just to make a single cut. It's not the easiest thing to do when you are making a cut horizontally. Especially not when you are up in a tree trying to balance yourself when doing tree work. The upside of all that hassle is you can cut fairly thick branches with it. Hardwood, dead wood.. or whatever.

Their other clip-together poles work better

This telescoping pole is OK. It extends out pretty far, but... it flexes and bows a bit if extended sideways when pruning. Not really a deal killer, but something to be prepared for before you buy it. I was expecting more. They also sell modular clip-together poles in two or three pole sets, and if I had to do it over, I would have bought those instead.

Nice hat - would be even better if it were available in real oilskin

The only two downsides are that it has Velcro for adjustments that will scratch up the finish on your leather furniture if you sit on a leather recliner or couch, and the material is a faux canvass rather than true waxed oilskin. Other than that- it's great.
