OK, but could be better.
For a first novel, its ok, but not great. The plot could use some work, although the technical details are very well done.
The author is very personable and is an excellent marketer who is all over social media. Given all the hype, I expected a little better debut novel. Having said that, I will still try his next one in the hope that it is an improvement. I give this book a 7 out of 10.

Well made, but didn't fit
Well made part, but . . . unfortunately the hole location for the thumb safety pin did not line up correctly with our 1970's era LW commander frame. Because we did not want to grind the frame, we tried grinding the grip safety radius a bit deeper with a dremel. However, in order to make it fit, we would have had to grind away the rear flange of the radius, which would have been pretty ugly.
Colt's standards of the time were notoriously inconsistent, so it isn't necessarily Wilson's fault that this didn't work out. On the plus side, the nose of the grip safety did not require any modification for proper operation when the grip safety was test fit with a slightly under-diameter pin, prior to grinding. Your results may vary depending on the frame you have.

Easy install
Easy install, worked great with slim Nighthawk grips. Heating the old studs prior to removal will make taking them out easier as most are loctited in. I used a soldering iron held against the inside of the stud for a minute or so, then they backed right out. You could also use a micro torch if one is available.
The new slim studs turned right into the frame with no issues and the new screws fit them well. I did loctite the new studs in prior to putting on the new slim grips. Having the right size hex key included was convenient.
