Uber-cheap VH-11 alternative
I’ve had this HH controller about a year now and it was okay, but wasn’t perfect for my older Roland TD-8 kit. Today I looked at the online user manual for the Roland VH-11 and copied the recommended settings to my TD-8 module - instant improvement! At one tenth of the price of a Roland hi-hat controller you really can’t complain- with the right settings!
**I used a cymbal felt under the controller as there is no vibration isolator as supplied with VH-11.
