Landline problems
2 of 2 found this helpful This unit saved me the £85.00 TalkTalk engineers fee. The landline as playing up so I removed the front plate from my master box, undo the two visible screes, removed the line and the plate and replaced the line directly into the unit, without the plate. Fixed! Left the cable in place until this unit arrived, not recommended if you have pets or small children. Removed the line and screwed a new face plate back and re plugged the line, problem fixed and £85.00 engineers fee saved, minus the cost of the spare. I did buy two just in case. I suspect because the box was attached to the skirting board by the front door, it may have been a damp issue.
