item is awesome best buy yet, better then the cheap ones or the RTI cables, this one works with chirp
Item is great works well PC installed all drivers needed nothing more to add works with chirp and other programs even one from kenwood, don't buy the RTI cable but this one, as it works with all RTI one does not.

0 of 2 found this helpful This radio is a great value for the money but watch who you buy from some are overpriced, go with ham radio outlet or gigaparts, they have the best price for the money, also make sure you get a unmodified one, because if you want the mars mod make sure someone professional does it, gigaparts will do it when you buy. i did not opt for this as i'm a Ham and do not go outside my ham bands, but i know some of you do i just chose not to. But the radio is hands down the best performer i have had even on a hot 100+ day it has not onse failed me or overheat. I would recommend this to any capable Ham.

This product is better than the original it hand down beats all the other ones on the market, nothing to add here plug and play.
