A Good Book, but Done in a Different Format
This is a good book. We are currently using it to learn how to make sourdough bread, since it is nearly impossible to buy decent sourdough bread in Colorado! While it is a good book on how to cook bread, but it is not the kind of cookbook we are used to using, where you just open and follow a recipe. It's more of a cookbook you study, and use some of this and some of that information. So far, we really like it. I gave it 4 stars just because it isn't the typical cookbook. I was also able to purchase a used copy at a bargain price, so that made it easier for me, should my purchase have been in vain.

Canon 18-55mm USM Lens
1 of 1 found this helpful I am not giving this lens an excellent rating, not because the lens is a bad lens. We got this lens to go with our son's new Canon 40D, and both of us prefer a longer zoom, if that is the right way to phrase it. We were told this was the perfect lens to get, to go with the camera, and while he uses it occasionally, he really prefers to use his other lens, the Canon 55-250mm for most of his shots.
As to lens quality, this is well built, and does take nice photos. We were told that if you get this lens, the better version is the USM, and that has not disappointed.
All in all, this is a great little lens, if you don't need much in the way of zoom.
