Top Quality Makita, but minor inconveniences.
Power & reliability (I hope). 3 small improvements to make. Trigger lock release is slightly inconvenient, wheel guard protrudes too far below wheel, making it difficult to get low angle with wheel, & there is no trigger on lock. I may modify the wheel guard.

I love the camera design, but have had CCD fail twice.
3 of 3 found this helpful Compact, comfortable, great function with telephoto through super macro, and wonderful pictures until the image sensor began to fail at 16 months. Had Pentax repair it for ~$125. It then lasted about 6 months and I've had to send it in again. Hope others have been more fortunate.
Since the second warrantied repair, I have set the ISO/ASA speed down to "auto" from "400", which I always used prior to the last repair. So far the camera has been functioning beautifully for a significant period.
