DON'T UPDATE!!! You will lose extended 4G-LTE (T Mobile/MetroPCS) if you do.
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this phone to replace an LG G3. Yes. I did.
This phone ships with the older AT&T version 23-201-2-sernia_att-en-US-att (replace -with periods)
After power on and setup, the phone will ask you if you want to update. DO NOT UPDATE.
MetroPCS asked Moto to remove band 12 on the phone. Band 12 is the extended 4G-LTE which disables LTE on the phone. Metro did this (imho) for a stupid reason, but there you go, its done and gone.
If you want to remove the nagging update, you'll need to turn off notifications and disable the app MotoOTA,
If you perfomed the upgrade, there is no way to go back that I know of. If you love the phone, only solutions I can think of are A) buy another non-upgraded phone or root the phone. I've heard of at least one version of NOUGAT running on this phone.
