I should have read the fine print, it's MPPT "compatible", but doesn't boost amps like a real one should.

Solid lead alloy, molded post.

Solid lead alloy, modified to fit positive terminal easily by removing bolt and wedging open, no gaps after tightening. The 3/8 stud is molded into the post so there is no way for corrosion to work it's way in, unlike some of the newer "lead free" types with loose bolts. Highly recommended.
