Was able to color code installation by taking apart old and adding to this one.

Little gadget maximizes my printer's usefulness across two distinct networks
Able to use printer on two distinct networks--each with newer computers that do not have parallel ports, or have trouble accepting a parallel port to USB adapter. I also have a centronics "out" from this older printer to a third network which includes older PC's that have parallel ports. So, this little gadget maximizes my printer's usefulness in my circumstance.

licensing issues caused failure I believe
system didn't allow activation, normal windows updates on two different "old" computers, trying to upgrade from Windows Vista. Microsoft's one operating system, one box license appears to complicate things. had problems installing hardware drivers, which appears to be another control over one operating system-one box licensing
