On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society
    Oct 21, 2019
    The title says it all.
I have collected books relating to antisocial personality disorder (aka "psychpathy" or "psychopath or sociopath" for several years. "On Killing" has a lot of exraordinarily relevant information pertaining to psychopaths in the military, and especially during war. If you have an interest in serial murderers, mass murderers, and the like, I urge you to buy this book immediately. It is scholarly, and does not condescend or "dumb it down" for you. I find myself rereading portions just to test my comprehension and I am thoroughly satisfied. This is a seminal work. It is an important work.
Ned Kelly : The Story of Australia's Most Notorious Legend by Fitzsimons, Peter
    Oct 21, 2019
Ned may be a "notorious legend", but in this book you come face-to-face with a Man, and hear the words he so desperately longed for you to hear
If you want to learn all about Ned Kelly and you want a well-balanced book that presents the facts and lets you draw your own conclusions, I'd strongly recommend you get this book. I've read all the major books on Kelly, and I consider this one to be the best. It's a big, thick book, but I predict you'd wish it were twice as long once your around page 800. Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about this. I thank Peter Fitzsimons for pouring his entire being into this project. Now, if only he'd tackle the subject of William Quantrill and Bloody Bill Anderson.
