Why no base??
The building is relatively easy to assemble, but the ledge trim is very delicate to work with. The ledge is thin cardboard compared to the building's thicker material. I had to carve out several of the notched areas for the ledges to fit, which at least on one occasion damaged the building face. Painting the ledge. My main concern and issue with the piece, is a lack of an actual base. This may sound petty, but buildings I have purchased from other suppliers each came with a base

Sturdier than the JAKKS version
Slightly less detailed and posable than the Jakks version, However far more sturdy. The Jakks version has hinged wings and the weight of the wings causes it to fold on display. The Jakks model has legs that can be positioned forward or back. The necks of the Jakks figure have come out more than once. Bandai vinyl Ghidorahs have historically had few moving parts in simple head, leg, and wing rotation. This Bandai version has no moving parts and is considerably beefier than the comparable Jakks. I would readily recommend this version as a child's toy than the Walmart exclusive Jakks toy. As a guy with several hundred Bandai kaiju figures I could seem biased. But in this case I'm basing a lot on my newphews' reactions to both figures on display in my den.
