ultimate hair catcher
3 of 3 found this helpful Take it from a father from 6 daughters. This thing is a must have for anyone with lots of women in the home. Before this, I was taking the whole drain apart every six months to get rid of the hair in the drain. With this, I am able to do the same task in a matter of seconds instead of 5 minutes. The drain fits into the drain hole just like any other drain. It catches all the hair from going completely into the pipes and catches it in the drain mechanism so no more taking the drain apart to do the same job.

Works perfectly as advertised
I have a TubShroom in my tub and since then never have a clogged drain. It's been working perfectly as advertised. When I saw the SinkShroom, I knew I had to order it as well.
The SinkShroom looks just like a smaller version of the TubShroom except for the two additional spacers under the top flange which create optimal clearance for drainage. It catches hair around its barrel just as well. It also does a good job of preventing small objects such as jewelry from falling into the drain by accident. Hair accumulated around the barrel can easily be removed by wiping it down with a paper towel.
The only caveat is that most bathroom sinks have a built-in, pop-up stopper that needs to be removed before you can use the SinkShroom. This usually requires a bit of work under the sink. Anyhow, It shouldn't be a problem unless you may need to fill the sink with water occasionally. You can always get a rubber stopper though.

More than 5 stars
This is the best invention since the beer bottle opener. If your wife sheds like mine does, you need this little miracle. No more fighting to get the hair out of the drain, no more chemicals to use, and no tools needed to clean. Simply amazing. I received this little guy on a Tuesday, installed it Wednesday morning, and pulled it out Friday eveninv to check on it...no wonder my damn drain always struggled...It never stood a chance 😖
