connects to free wifi on the road if available,
make sure you disable hsdpa/hsupa to stop gprs connections when wifi is not available, unless you want to use gprs,
a bit heavy because of extra keyboard, i use handstrap when in use, otherwise it may slip out of hands,
after windows software update got youtube to work perfectly,
had to copy old contacts onto simm to use in the new phone, other methods would be to send by bluetooth each contact because you cant send all the contacts at the same time to this phone, you can also use phone sw to backup old contacts and transfer to new one that way,
previously contacts list in the simm card was arranged each entry with multiple numbers (like home n mobile n work) but after windows sw update, the simm contacts were left with single entry only for each contact name, if any contact had multiple numbers they were lost and only one number was remaining for that contact out of the multiple numbers,
the windows software update did not affect the camera photos from memory card, i did read that contents on memory card would be safe during sw update,
the x1 sony mobile uses SD memory card and not sony MS,
some sony phones have built-in function to bckup contacts list, with x1 you have to use phone sw to create backup on pc/laptop only
excellent display and sliding keyboard and camera,
touch screen is better with stylus pen, using finger tips to select is slow and inaccurate
comes with brodit passive car holder, well mine did anyway
allows 3 alarm settings, my old sony phone had 5,
has more functions which i have not used yet but will need them soon,
still prefer phones dedicated to touch screen (like sony x10 or nokia 5800XM or HTC) rather than keyboard, because texting is easier on the go with touch screen types of phone
this is 3in screen which is excellent but i would rather go for 4in screen for entertainment use
the sd memory card is concealed inside, you need to removed backcover and battery to removed the sd card, same again with nokia 5800xm and some new smartphones
the battery is still good, also extra battery is about £30,
i would recommend using a phone case to protect phones with touch screens.

Competitive on price, better speed on Usb A to A
I noticed, direct Usb A to another type A connection, such as Laptop, is much faster,
Than with adapters, such as Usb type A to C, or A to MicroUsb,
For more compatibility, use direct adapters, that converts one to other, rather than one to many,
Competitively priced, has Usb3 printed, great size, but size is not printed on product.
