U can see the date awesome watch type in the model number on YouTube you will see it in its glory. Well made not too heavy

Awesome Lens
This is an awesome lens, I would say it is better than the 3.5-4.5. I happen to have bought both.
Its a tad longer and heavier than the variable aperature 70-210. It also focuses prety good. I say this is a nice pairing with the 35-70mm f/2.8 you dont need to spend a lot of money for good glass. Also don't pay more than 200.00 for these old lenses. There is a chance that u may have to send them into Nikon for cleaning
