Solid as a rock
I bought this bass drum anchor primarily to help take some of the strain off of my vintage bass drum legs. You know, those spindly little legs - too wide spread and insubstantial to do anything but keep the drum from rolling over? I just wanted to sturdy-up the bass drum. This thing works great! Put it on, adjusted the legs to stabilize the drum and I can't believe how solid this old kick drum feels.
If you have a vintage bass drum that shimmies, shakes, wobbles and creeps - you need this! The Ringo look is a bonus.
My only complaint is that the unit should be padded at all points where it meets the hoop. I put some velcro (soft side) on to prevent it from marring up the inlay. Easy fix - very satisfied. Highly recommend.

Just what you're looking for in a floor tom conversion.
1 of 1 found this helpful I recently purchased the Trick Drums floor tom to bass drum conversion kit for my 18" floor tom. I removed four tension rods, placed the riser on my triple flange hoop, replaced the four tension rods, installed the legs, hooked up my pedal and have been playing it ever since. It's honestly THAT SIMPLE!! Smart design, sturdy and effective. Any other conversion kit I've tried just didn't feel solid - clipped to the rim with a weird foot that has another piece with a post and wing-nut ... This product has none of that. It's about as plug-and-play as it gets. Since it's a one piece design, it's fool proof. The legs are spurred so the drum doesn't creep and the main riser is so simple that you don't need to make a million adjustments.
I'm very happy with mine!
