More than just Metal
The clean channel is gorgeous. The "high gain" channel is one that, when I heard clips online, was only played on middle or extreme settings (which it does well). However, on low or minimum settings it can do clean-ish sounds with breakup, and even mimic the clean channel (again, with breakup) by taking the mids back slightly. That overlap was important to me. Other EQ stuff: pulling the lows out has that telephone sound, boosting highs (even with guitar tone rolled off) adds clarity without fizz ... pretty responsive. Channel switching is smooth, and works fine with or without a latching footswitch hooked up. Wish the power supply were internal -- they probably wanted lighter weight for the unit on the spec sheet, but now I need to tie it to the rear rails or something.
