I chose this amp primarily because of the form factor...That it fits nicely under the drivers seat. Initial install was directly on carpet and amp was getting hot. Remounted on 1 1/2" standoffs and cut a hole in the ac duct nearby to provide cooling...much better....Couldn't get the amp to run properly off the high signals from my oem radio and needed to get hi low converters...the input level is finiky but got it set right eventually. Screw terminals strip easily (soft metal) but not a big deal to replace screw. Lighted logo is cool..Good output...I run qty 3, 4ohm speaks on each rear channel, and Qty 2 4 ohm speaks on each channel ft. Amp desc says bass boost knob included but it was not supplied...I installed my own boost knobs, one for ft channels and one for rear channels...My oem head unit has seperate mono subwoof (low signal) output so I used those direct to a 200W monoblock amp with a third bass knob. With the 3 bass knobs I can set the amp gains pretty high and use the boost knobs to lower them when FM, cd, or MP3 output signal varies in strength. Amp is quite powerful at 800 watts and i think theat is a real output based on the strong powerful signal. Good amp, I would recommend. ..Again form factor was just right for me.

Cheapo construction...One had wire pull right out. Cumbersome to adjust gains...I found best way was to shine a flashlight thru the chrome plastic housing to illuminate the deep well where the adjuster screws are...and while looking from a very close distance you can sneak a peek at the screw slot and poke for it with the screw driver. Very crackly when adjusting...very very finnikty level control....never really sure if the level is optimize and just give up when you get it to work at all...rely on amp gains boost knobs, and head unit to adjust....chrome cover seperated from base when mounting needed to hold it back together with tape or glue. ...Would recommend other brand...
