Does the job but needs help.
It has a few problems. It needs a thickness scale on the table, when the vacuum is running you can't hear the machine for the feed rate (meaning that you do not want to take a large cut it will slow the machine or burn the wood), table should be longer at the exit side. the Vacuum attachment is in the center of the sanding thickness machine which the hose to the vacuum catches on the wood while feeding it through the machine. Learning curve is on the high side. Does a real nice job on sanding. Good for the hobbies on those wird sizes. Works great on mahogany

New trail arms
I am rebuilding an old sand scorcher, and it was in worse shape than in thought.$. The trial arms on the front end needed to be replaced as well as the plastic bearing which hold the ball joints. The "new" sand scorcher front end is a bit more robust. Ball joints are larger and the plastic ball joint holder do really "click" into place. The change over was rather easy, parts matched up (screwed in) with out a problem (old vs. New). If you have an old sand scorcher I recommend this up grade. The front end is tighter. Do not forget the screw bag for the ball joints. Down load manual on Tamiya site.
