A Top Quality Piano for a Novice.
2 of 2 found this helpful The Yamaha P45 was dispatched to me within a couple of days of ordering, with good advice updates on delivery progress. I was initially surprised to see it was made in China, as Yamaha is a Japanese company.
Piano came well packed and with a clearly written manual. It is simple to alter settings and the sound is superb. The touch sensitivity can be adjusted, but it works well enough on default setting.
It is a joy to play such a fine piano and I love it. Registering with Yamaha was also easy, but the enclosed leaflet is now defunct.
My only criticism is low output volume, and found piano volume needed to be on maximum. 6W output is paltry. A review I saw said it was easy to connect to any amplifier, but the manual makes no reference to an amplifier, and there is no Line Out socket. A quick call to Yamaha confirmed my belief that an amplifier is connected via the Headphone Socket. I connected my old Rogers 25W amp and bookshelf speakers with a cable quickly sent from Amazon, and the sound now is perfect. Conveniently, whilst the internal speakers are muted, the piano's volume control is still operable, so volume control is still within convenient reach.
As an OAP learner, I very much hope that this instrument will do me for the rest of my life, and I hope for many years of trouble-free playing. I am very proud to now own a quality instrument.
P.S: There are some alternative sound modes, and the Pipe Organ is spectacularly good.
There are also some pre-recorded samplers of playing modes and demo tunes.

Bike trouser clips in use
1 of 1 found this helpful Product was nicely packed and the trouser clips look well enough made.
In use on me, the clips just do not seem tight enough to remain in position, with some slippage downwards and trouser bottoms almost coming loose.
I have done a bit of a modification with a rubber band which can just about fit around the hook ends. This now keeps everything in position.

Top quality quick release/secure battery.
1 of 1 found this helpful Fitted with ease to bicycle down tube, although upside down due to placement of pre-drilled holes in my down-tube.
I wasn't surprised that it came loose after 10 miles on road - just two tiny screws to secure such a weight. I VERY carefully drilled down-tube to receive an M6 bolt which now secures the unit properly. There was a mounting hole for such at (my) top of battery carrier.
I also needed to extend output wires by a few inches to reach controller unit behind saddle. I used 80 strand loudspeaker wire to carry the current, with soldered connections.
Some information about charging enclosed, but will have to do my own research on partial charging, as battery looks good for at least 30 miles.
Also researched whether to fit an inline fuse for safety, but it's a very complicated matter which if done wrongly could cause problems. Therefore will rely on battery's own overload management system.
Overall, most impressive, with huge power and adequate (13Ahr) capacity. Bike goes like a whizz, so just hope for longevity from both units.
