ZD-982 Here is why I can not give it five stars I give it 4 1/2 stars
1 of 1 found this helpful This Desoldiering station works good but there is a couple of things that are qoark-e about the temperature controller on this unit
First thing is that whe you turn the unit ON
It over shoots the set temperature by about 30* F
Then you have to wait for it to get to the set point
However it does recover pretty good after that
Second thing is that the heat gun is fast to get to its set temperature but it lacks a cool down mode meaning that least about of heat that you can set for it is 200* F on a. Scale of one to ten (1) is very bad (10) is very good
I give the a (3)
But over all the units is very good
It dose a very good job for what it was made to do
It is worth the price that you pay for it

I give this item 4 3/4 and here why
The ferrule crimp connectors are very good and easy to use when you buy the crimping tool that is made to crimp them you can a pair of cutter to crimp them but if you you are not careful you will cut them in two
The storage container is crap buy one of the plastic storage containers to keep them in or you have 800 pieces all over the place
