Good idea but not very sturdy.
The concept is great, but the material (rather flexible plastic) is not really substantial enough to hold more than about a 1/2 gallon of paint. I recommend getting either an empty gallon can and use it for your on-ladder supply, or a same-size plastic bucket. Also, the instructions (or lack thereof) doesn't really convey the intent or proper placement of the retaining pin. I'm guessing it's to prevent accidentally lifting the holder off the rung on which it sits. I have used the device successfully and found it better than any homemade attempt to have a hands-free paint supply while on a an extension ladder.

Handy product
Ever found those trousers/slacks a bit too snug? These elastic, adjustable "waist expanders" can help extend the life of clothing you thought was too small to wear.

Bargain price for exact replacement
Can't tell this from the original which costs twice as much! Oreck is notorious for not allowing anyone to sell parts and accessories except in their stores. Here's a way to beat that "monopoly."
