this adapter functions exactly the way i would expect form a new Samsung adapter.

The right tool for the job.
I have an instrument that uses 2.5mm nuts to hold precision optical parts in place.
Those nuts work themselves loose and are difficult to re-tighten with other tools.
With this driver it is easy and quick. love it.
