DeWalt DCS356 XR 3 Speed Oscillating Multi Tool 18V - with case and accessories

Great oscillating multitool with many useful features

Bought to replace an old corded multitool which recently died after many years of heavy use and I have to say that very happy with this new Dewalt one. I already have several Dewalt tools so it made sense to buy one which I could use my other batteries for. It's easy to use and the quick blade change feature is especially good (no more stripped allen keys!). There's a useful light to illuminate where you are cutting (seems like most time I used my old tool it was in a dark corner!) and the speed setting is a huge help - make sure you select the right model as the older version doesn't have this option. As usual, the tstak case is strong and protects the tool when not in use. A multitool is one of those tools that once you have one, you'll wonder how you did without it and I can definitely recommend this Dewalt model.

Sturdy construction, 3 keys, long bolt throw - great lock.

Sturdy construction, 3 keys, long bolt throw all make this a great buy. Used on a wooden garage door top & bottom making it more secure alongside a 5-lever lock. My door was a couple of mm thicker than the maximum recommended so I inset the escutcheon plates slightly and all worked fine. Definitely would recommend this.

Will now be using this instead of WD40 in future

Thought I'd try this after using WD40 for years for lubricating, loosening stuck stuff and for rust prevention. This works brilliantly on all three. Unlike the 'aerosol' of the WD40, the spray on this comes out slightly more viscous but is still as good for penetrating and even better for lubricating & rust prevention as it seems to stay on surfaces better. Will definitely be buying this again!
