Definitely improves performance
Fit's into the back of the air intake but needs to be secured with 2 self tapping screws to avoid detaching at higher speed. I also used a black mastic silicone sealant to ensure a perfect seal. Dramatically improves air flow volume into the air filter box. Great improvement to mid and upper range torque. Well worth the money.
