Just the tool I needed
I want to watch inside my 2018 Whirlpool washer while it fills with water and washes the clothes during the first cycle before the lid locks. Because the washer makes interesting and mysterious noises while the water runs in and when the clothes wash. The washer only runs when the lid is closed. I purchased this latch switch striker so I can fool the washer into thinking the lid is shut while it is really open. It is exactly the tool I need.
