Newer 622's may not be up to standard

Been with dish for years and I'm happy with the service and programming but the 622's being sent out lately are....unfortunate to say the least. I'm on my third in as many months. the first two lasted for two or three years apiece. The latest, a couple weeks. The one before, a month or so. After some searching, I have learned that they are prone to overheating. This one is in a big cabinet with nothing on top of it and clearance of both sides and is plugged into a good surge protector. I specifically asked for new but it was a reman. The next one is coming. If it dies, maybe a switch to a 722 will be called for.

Works

As well as my Tripps and CMCs in my RIA FS and Ruger LW CMD. Took them to range with some trepidation, not always the best reviews for MG. I needn't have worried. The new design ran fine with 147gr plated HPs. Not bad to get ten in, easy with a loader. Locks in ez with the RIA small factory magwell. Slides out smooth. Ez to unload leftover bullets. Comes apart like the Tripps. Easier to clean than the CMCs. We,ll see how the followers hold up after a few thou rounds and how they like being dropped in the dirt and reloaded at a match, but I'm optimistic. Enuf to buy two more when I sell the CMCs.

Worked for me

I don't know what brand my fan is, but the gear looked the same. Worth a few bucks to try. Worked perfectly. Probably get a couple for spares.
