ELEPHANT Baby Afghan Graph Crochet Pattern *EASY
Jun 10, 2017
Adorable graph design, turned out beautifully!
My coworker is having a baby girl in a few months and her baby shower theme was elephants, and so I was looking for a really cute elephant graph and this was the most adorable one I found! This was my first ever attempt at a graphgan and I was pleased to find it was pretty straightforward, once you get the hang of changing colors (and not tangling all your yarns!). It took me about 3 weeks, working almost every day after work, though it probably would have been finished sooner had I not chosen to switch up the background (added stripes, alternating rows of 4 in each color) and size (changed to more of a square). Even though the little leaves in the original pattern are super cute, I wanted to add the baby shower theme colors (coral, turquoise, white) and challenged myself by doing stripes instead. The pattern comes on a thicker sheet of a standard printer paper size, in a thicker, nicer quality of binder sleeve so I can add it to my pattern binder and note lose it(!) as well as make notes using a whiteboard marker (can be erased) or use sticky notes or masking tape to keep track of what row/square you're on. It also has some helpful notes and tips for changing color, etc. The only "problem" I had that's not actually really a problem, was that the squares on the pattern were a bit small, so sometimes it was difficult to see--but then again, I'm super nearsighted so that's probably just me! :D Overall, 10/10--adorable pattern, simple to follow, turned out fabulously, as well as great price and quick shipping!
