Sabian rocks!
First, a disclaimer. I am partial to Sabian. That said I recently got a 22" Istanbul Traditional Dark Ride I think might be the best cymbal I've ever played in my 55 years behind a drum set. This crash is replacing a K Custom Dark Crash so I'm not totally brand loyal. This crash is not a cymbal that would pique my interest in a store because of its low pitch. Every individual Turkish type cymbal sounds and plays different than any other even the same size and model. As a rule I like higher pitched cymbals and this crash is about a 5th below my 16" HHX Evo crash. But, I got to thinking maybe I need that lower pitch contrast in my set up. So, I'm going to run with this one for awhile and make a decision down the road. I got an incredible deal on it and it's not likely I will lose money if I have to sell it off.
