Works as good as advertised
When you buy whatman filter papers it is going to be the best quality you can get. They are very pricey but lucky me I found these for a great price and a very fair price. I thought these were the grade 54 but even though they weren’t what I wanted ,it was my mistake,they are hardened ashless have worked out just fine. I have maxed my vacuum pump out around 29-30 inhg ,filtering some fine metal precipitates in a Büchner funnel and it catches everything but the precipitate stays on top of the filter and doesn’t get caught in the filter and scrapes off easily once dried. I would highly recommend this filter if you do any precious metal refining and have some solutions you want to clear up before precipitation or precipitates that you want to filter out of solution.
