You get what you pay for
Wears down very fast, and gives little protection against punctures. You get what you pay for, and this is a much cheaper option than many of the Schwalbe tires. The real issue is that none of them are particularly long lasting in the CX form, so it becomes a tradeoff of how often you want to replace the tires. The expensive ones do last a little bit longer, but only a little bit. In that sense, you might as well buy the cheaper ones and replace them more often; the grip differential is insufficient to justify the premium on the Ralphs and Rons of this world. It's the old saw: yes they are better, but are they three times as good as the Pro's? No. The real downside to the Pro's is the number of punctures. That gets tiresome, and is the main reason for the 3 star rating.

Excellent XC and MTB shorts
Lightweight and snug, like wearing nothing. Great design features, not least angling of legs at the rear to allow for uninterrupted pedaling. Only mild criticism is the lack of pockets, the two that are provided being pretty useless as anything inside sits on top of your thighs.
