Cam is great, initialization was time consuming
The camera arrived well packed with necessary hardware some of which was not necessary depending on installation type. There was no printed instruction manual but there was a CD that contained a manual. The CD manuals referred to several different camera types none of which clearly which one should be used. After looking thru them, one which seemed most appropriate was selected. Wrong choice. Second try was right choice. Perhaps an experienced camera installer would be more efficient but a non-experienced installer found out a trial and error technique finally yielded good results.
The camera itself produces a great picture that with the included software can be adjusted to the users liking. Things like aspect ratio, brightness, color, hue, saturation, contrast are all user adjustable.
Our camera is mounted outside and using it at night produces an image (seemingly B&W) that is recognizable about 100 feet from the camera. We've discovered wildlife that roams during night time hours. An interesting side benefit.
Now that it is installed, up and running we can endorse it enthusiastically.

Better buying experience
I need one of this type battery about every nine months. I had been buying them at a retail store and paying about four times the price. I opted to buy these and store the remaining three until the next time I need to replace one. They are perfect for my Davis Vantage Vue Weather Station.
