The Narrow Land by Jack Vance (1982, Paperback) Science Fiction

Excellent collection.

Excellent collection of early Jack Vance from the forties and fifties, mostly hard to find items like "Green Magic" , The Masquerade on Dicantropus" and "The Ten Books", as well as the classic like "Chateau D'If". One, "The World Thinker", had a tone of the mid forties. This tale was very early in Vance's career, and was an unexpected benefit. The book itself seemed in very good shape. Never sold, it had the original science fiction book club flyer still inserted between the pages. The book even smelled fresh when I turned the pages; pretty good for a publication printed in 1982.

Disappointing performance.

After placement opposite where a neighbor had once kept a badly soiled cat box behind a shared wall, there is no noticeable improvement. The odor is as before I purchased the Air free P2000. Management already changed the neighbor's carpet and part of the sheetrock on his side that was tainted by cat urine, but even though that brought about a lot of improvement, none can be credited to the Air free P2000. According to the manual the device is working properly, so I guess it can't handle the job.
